  • This research, developed within the Professional and Technological Education Graduate Program (ProfEPT), constitutes a Master's investigation aimed at analyzing, from the perspective of mediation, how institutional conceptions of organizational communication influence the structuring of official Instagram profiles of IFSul in campuses located in the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre. The study intends to provide profile managers with tools that facilitate the dissemination of effective organizational communication. In this study, three fundamental factors are considered essential: organizational communication—taking into account strategic communication guidelines—, mediation, and Instagram as a social media platform for dialogue between the institution and its audiences. All of these aspects are analyzed within the context of Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT). It is recognized that, despite the importance of communication in organizational development, the reality faced by Federal Institutes, including their organizational structures, is one of limited investment and lack of allocation of qualified professionals for communication processes. This study specifically refers to the Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul). The research highlights the necessity of providing basic concepts and structures for the development of adequate communication in each campus, aligning with the mission, vision, and values set forth by the Federal Institutes of Education, Science, and Technology (IFs). To bridge the gap between institutional intentions and practical implementation, the study considers the use of bibliographic references that elaborate on the aforementioned concepts within the context of Professional and Technological Education. In this regard, the work draws upon authors such as Ciavatta (2008) and Cury (2000), as well as those specifically addressing communication-related concepts, including Kunsh (2022), Weber (2017), Baldissera (2020), and Ferreira (2021), among others. Regarding the educational product, a manual was developed to facilitate the application of organizational communication on the digital media platform Instagram. Based on an analysis of publications from the profiles @ifsul_sapucaia, @ifsul_nh, @ifsul_gravatai, and @ifsulcampuscharqueadas over the course of one year, as well as interviews conducted with each profile manager and a bibliographic review on the subject, basic guidelines were formulated for institutional staff. These guidelines aim to encourage and educate on the following topics: (1) Institutional context; (2) Organizational communication at IFSul; (3) Instagram and engagement; (4) Instagram and planning; and (5) Instagram and moderation. In this regard, fundamental techniques for the use of organizational communication on digital media, with a specific focus on Instagram, were provided.

  • This dissertation was developed as part of the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education, linked to the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), within the research line “Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT)”. The aim of the study was to analyze the participation of IFRS - Restinga Campus students in collegiate bodies (councils, committees, commissions, etc.), pointing out alternatives for action to encourage their participation. It is understood that the engagement of students, in addition to collaborating with the process of democratic management and the improvement of the educational process, aims to ensure the implementation of IFRS policies, contributing to the training of students in the context of EFA. This is an applied, descriptive study with an exploratory dimension, developed using a qualitative approach. Documentary analysis, bibliographic research and field research techniques were used. Data was collected by means of questionnaires with open and closed questions, applied to 20% of the students enrolled in the technical courses integrated with high school at the IFRS - Restinga Campus, totaling seventy-seven respondents. In addition, three course coordinators involved in the research took part. The results showed factors that influence the low level of student participation in the institution's collegiate bodies. Based on these findings, an educational product was developed: a guide in digital format, which presents information pertinent to the topic and practical guidelines for participation in the collegiate bodies of the IFRS - Restinga Campus. The guide was positively evaluated by the students, indicating its potential to increase student engagement in these decision-making and collective-building spaces. It is hoped that the material produced will contribute to strengthening the voice and presence of students in collegiate bodies, promoting their civic and participatory participation.

  • This research is linked to the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), in the line of research “Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT)” and linked to the macroproject “Methodological proposals and teaching resources in formal and non-formal teaching spaces at EPT”. It is expected to understand how IFRS librarians can contribute to the training of their students, from the perspective of integral human education (FHI); identify the role of libraries in EPT and understand librarians' understanding of EPT concepts. The research is characterized as qualitative in terms of nature, applied in terms of purpose, and exploratory and descriptive research in terms of objectives. The research procedures include field and bibliographic research. The theoretical basis presents the history of EPT in Brazil; FHI; the history of the Federal Network for Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (RFEPCT); an overview of library typologies; and an analysis of the guiding documents of IFRS libraries. This research highlighted the educational and integrative role of multilevel libraries, as essential to FHI. It identified the need for librarians to adapt to the specificities of EPT, witch constitutes the distinctive feature of multilevel libraries, as well as a gap in librarians’ conceptual understanding of FHI and EPT. As an educational product, four vídeos were developed for new IFRS librarians, which focuses on FHI, history of EPT, and multilevel libraries and librarians, providing conceptual support to librarians and enhancing their performance in accordance with the specificities of EPT.

  • This project is being developed at the Professional Master’s Degree in Professional and Technological Education, on a National Network and it integrates the following line of research “Educational practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT)” together with the macro project 1 “Methodological proposals and didactic resources in formal and non-formal educational spaces at EPT”. The objective of this study is understanding how the Organizational Communication by its Press Communication Office, more specifically the journalistic content, can contribute for the students to create connections, develop the sense of belonging, engagement and have success at Campus Alvorada from the Educational, Science and Technology Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). The proposal justifies itself because the communication focus is frequently on the outside disclosures so that IFRS is known and attracts people. However, after admission there are a few formal and deliberate communication processes aimed at students (the institution main audience). Furthermore, it was found through a research at Capes Periodicals that researches about organizational communication in educational institutes is more concentrated on higher education and in the communication processes in a general way rather than on the basic education and the relationship with students.  From a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study and having as procedures and methods the literature review, documental analyzes, data survey, focus group (or semi-structured interview) and action research, the purpose is to elaborate an educational product (EP) that answers the research question problem and that qualifies the communication with students with a dialogic approach. As a result, it is expected to consolidate the sense of belonging and engagement of the students at IFRS – Campus Alvorada and additionally contributing for their abidance, success, autonomy and independence, the main elements of EPT. Yet, it is intended to contribute for the students approach with the communication practices of the institution from the elaboration, application and evaluation of an educational product.

  • The present dissertation, entitled "Labor Law and the Construction of Civic Awareness: Perspectives and Challenges in Professional and Technological Education", presents the results of a research project aimed at analyzing how a pedagogical practice for teaching labor rights can foster the holistic and civic education of students enrolled in the Technical Course in Internet Informatics Integrated with Upper Secondary Education at IFC – Rio do Sul Campus. The research addressed topics such as Labor Law, Citizenship, and Professional and Technological Education. This study was developed within the scope of the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technological Education in a National Network (PROFEPT), under the research line Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), Macroproject 1 – Methodological Proposals and Teaching Resources in Formal and Non-formal Educational Spaces in EPT, supervised by Professor Dr. Josiane Carolina Soares Ramos Procasko and co-supervised by Professor Dr. Liliane Madruga Prestes. With a qualitative approach and applied nature, the research adopted an exploratory perspective. The methodological strategy involved bibliographic research, literature review, analysis of dissertations related to the topic, and documentary research on labor legislation and the Pedagogical Project of the Technical Course in Internet Informatics. Field research was conducted through questionnaires applied in person to students of the aforementioned course and virtually to teachers. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis and led to the development of an educational product. The research findings indicated that both participating groups consider the topics to be relevant, and that students demonstrated understanding and interest in expanding their knowledge. In this context, a virtual game was developed with the aim of contributing to the learning process about labor rights and, consequently, to civic education.

  • The regulation of the profession of Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) translator, interpreter and guide-interpreter (Tilsp) was established through Law No. 12.319 (Brazil, 2010). The Tilsp profession emerged within a neoliberal political and economic context and reflects this dominant model of labor precarization and worker exploitation, especially after the Labor Reform, often experiencing poorly paid and frequently outsourced employment. For this reason, this study originated from concerns regarding the technical training curriculum of students enrolled in the Technical Course in Libras–Portuguese Translation and Interpretation (TTILS), which places professional practice at the core of its curriculum. Considering the specific characteristics of Professional and Technological Education (EPT) offered by Federal Institutes, this research aims to investigate how the training provided by the Technical Course in Libras Translation and Interpretation at the Alvorada Campus has contributed to the development of political consciousness among its graduates. Based on the findings, we propose as an Educational Product a didactic sequence inspired by Paulo Freire's Culture Circle methodology to ensure a technical secondary-level education committed to the integral human development of students, enabling critical engagement of these future professionals in formal world of labor. The proposed Educational Product will encourage students to reflect on the guiding principles of EPT and the importance of political awareness in their vocational training in an era of globalized capital, while aligning with the specificities of their profession. For educators, it offers a pedagogical resource that can be implemented in the classroom. This research employed a qualitative methodology with a explanatory way, using bibliographic and documentary procedures. A semi-structured questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument, targeting graduates of the course. Work and education are fundamental aspects of human development, but in the capitalist mode of production, work loses its vital meaning, leading to a process of alienation and estrangement in which the worker no longer recognizes the product of their labor. The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul – Alvorada Campus, the only free, high-quality public institution in the state to offer the Technical Course in Translation and Interpretation of Libras, is a strategic space for the critical training of TTILS student-workers. With this, we defend the idea that Professional and Technological Education is the path to the formation of the political consciousness of the future Tilsp professional by enabling a comprehensive education, contemplating both the specificities of the training and the understanding of the world of work, in order to form emancipated subjects who can be political agents of social transformation. This work is part of the research line Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT) of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (PROFEPT), Porto Alegre Campus, of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS).

  • This research analyzed the potential of Gorky's Marxist literature as a teaching strategy for promoting omnilateral development through the articulation between education and the world of work, based on the production and listening of students in the secondary technical course in the EJA (Youth and Adult Education) modality offered by the IFRS - Porto Alegre Campus. This is a participatory, qualitative research study using thematic content analysis. The research stages were constituted by the following objectives: the general objective of the work was to investigate the potential of Gorky's Marxist literature for promoting teaching practices that foster the articulation between education and the world of work, as well as for omnilateral development, in particular, based on a study in the context of the EJA (Youth and Adult Education) program offered by the IFRS - Porto Alegre Campus. The specific objectives were to encourage the use of Gorky's Marxist literary works, in particular, the work “Childhood” and Francisco Vilachã's comic strip illustrating Gorky's tales in “Figures of Saint Petersburg and other Gorky tales in comics” and the possible interlocutions with the conceptual bases of EJA-EPT, in particular, in the approach of themes related to education and the World of Work; To produce theoretical and methodological support for the use of Gorky's literature as a literacy teaching strategy for the development of polytechnics in the secondary technical program in the EJA (Educational and Adult Education) modality; to systematize the data produced through the creation of educational videos accompanied by a digital insert focusing on education and work, resulting from listening to students of the secondary technical program in the EJA (Educational and Adult Education) modality based on the reading and reflections generated by Gorky's work. The result obtained for the participating group was a reflection on the training process of the worker who returns to school, permeated with wisdom, yet imbued with the need to relate knowledge of the world of work to formal schooling after a period of absence, valuing their interaction with the world.Reading the representation of a Russian worker's experiences and his literacy process broadens students' reading potential and facilitates discussions with other students about insertion into the world of work through the production and exchange of pedagogical letters, reports, and large-group discussions. Methodologies were adopted to record the subjects' accounts and compose a booklet consisting of a didactic video, a didactic sequence, and the students' artistic production. Furthermore, it provides a research base for further investigations into EJA-EPT students and the reading of Gorkian works. A reflection on experience and social insertion leads students to develop class consciousness and the desire for better living conditions, always identified as workers. An Educational Product was created in the form of a booklet and videos composed of school activities and the production of eight EJA-EPT students, articulated with the world of work and corroborated by Gorkian writings.

  • The dissertation entitled “PROJECT WORK APPROACH IN PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION: contributions to minimizing the effects of social media Neuromarketing in stimulating consumerism" was developed in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program – Master in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), through the Associated Institution, Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) - Campus Porto Alegre. The research is linked to the line of Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces, integrating Macroproject 5 - organization of the integrated curriculum in Professional and Technological Education. Its general objective was to analyze the effects of social media Neuromarketing on students enrolled in High School Integrated to Professional Education (EMIEP), with the purpose of proposing an educational product focused on the organization of project work approach as a way to contribute to the prevention of consumerist behaviors. The study is of an applied nature, with a qualitative approach and exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory objectives. It is theoretically and methodologically based on the Analysis of Meaning Movements (AMS), which also guided the analysis of the data produced. From the point of view of the technical procedures that will be used, it is configured as bibliographical, documentary and field research. The IFRS - Campus Canoas was defined as the research locus and the Technical Course in Administration Integrated to High School was selected as the object of study. The subjects involved were 21 students (out of the 22 enrolled in the fourth year in 2024) and 8 professors, out of the total of 36 who taught (in all years) in the aforementioned course. Regarding the data collection instruments, two online questionnaires were applied, targeting: a) professors, with 26 questions — 19 closed-ended, 4 open-ended, and 3 conditional; and b) students, with 28 questions — 19 closed-ended, 6 open-ended, and 3 conditional. It was found that Neuromarketing is not addressed throughout the course, and that students have limited knowledge about the topic. Additionally, the findings revealed a lack of clear definition regarding the meaning attributed to project work approach, as well as uncertainty about how it is implemented to promote interdisciplinarity and an integrated curriculum. It was possible to identify only one initiative in this direction, promoted by the course Geography and History Studies, which is developed as part of an interdisciplinary project guided by integrative themes, designed and structured to involve the content of both subject areas. Based on the results, an educational product was developed in the form of a Manual/Protocol, structured as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), containing guidelines on how to organize and implement project work approach using a Project Model Canvas (PM Canvas) adapted to the educational context. An illustrative example based on the research theme is included. The aim is to offer educators a model that supports the systematic implementation of project work approach not only to address consumerism-related themes in EMIEP Administration courses, but also other relevant topics across various modalities of Professional and Technological Education, within formal curricula, research, and extension activities.

  • This study is part of the field of Vocational and Technological Education (VTE) and focuses on Teacher Training in this modality. Thus, it aimed to analyze the specificities of pedagogical work at VTE, in order to contribute to the organization of the Pedagogical Training course for Non-Licentiate Graduates at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul - Sertão Campus, considering the principle of comprehensive human development. To this end, it was methodologically based on applied research with exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory objectives, using a qualitative approach. Data production consisted of bibliographical research, document analysis, and an online questionnaire with open- and closed-ended questions administered to 24 graduates of the aforementioned course who work at VTE. Data analysis was based on the theoretical-methodological foundation of Movement of Senses Analysis and revealed three thematic categories: a) reasons for seeking pedagogical training; b) perceptions of the specificities of comprehensive human development in pedagogical work; c) meanings attributed to pedagogical work by graduates. It was found that initial training did not adequately prepare students for the complexities of teaching in EPT. The need to improve pedagogical work in light of daily challenges was identified, and that training should be a continuous process of reflection, updating, and transformation of teaching. Based on this assessment, the Educational Product was developed: "Pedagogical Work: Specificities in the Context of Vocational and Technological Education," which addresses fundamental aspects related to pedagogical work in this modality. The material was evaluated by faculty and graduates, considering its attractiveness, engagement, comprehension, acceptance, and achievement of objectives. The results show that the fundamentals are relevant and recommended as a reference for pedagogical training, contributing to institutional goals and meeting the legal requirements for teaching in vocational education.

  • This study aimed to analyse how Industry 4.0 has been addressed in teaching
practices at the technical level of Professional and Technological Education. The
research followed a predominantly qualitative and exploratory approach, with data
collected through bibliographic research and the application of a questionnaire to
teachers from a technical school in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. In
addition, the creation of a formative video and a guide was proposed as didactic
resources to promote the understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, serving as
educational products. The relevance of this work lies in the need to understand and
improve the approach to Industry 4.0 in school practice, especially in technical
courses. The analysis of school practice, based on the questionnaire data, made it
possible to identify strengths, gaps, and good teaching practices. Understanding how
the Fourth Industrial Revolution has been studied in public technical schools proved
to be essential to ensure training more aligned with the new demands and trends
arising from this process of transformation in labor relations. Furthermore, a formative
video was created along with the guide, offering a more dynamic and engaging
approach for teachers to reflect on and consolidate Industry 4.0 concepts in a
practical way. Based on the research results and the analyses carried out,
conclusions and practical recommendations were developed to enhance school
practices. The recommendations aimed to provide more qualified training, better
prepared for the challenges of the world of work at the beginning of the 21st century.
It is expected that this work will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the
field of Professional and Technological Education, providing support for improving
    teacher training.

  • It is imperative to incorporate interactive pedagogical practices in the current
scenario because the audience attending schools today comes from digital culture
and is familiar with the use of social media as a means of socializing. These tools
offer features for content sharing and mobilization for teaching and learning, and can
be used pedagogically and for professional interactions among teachers, regardless
of the geographic location of their Federal Institutes. This research aims to analyze
the incorporation of the social media Twitter/X by teachers in the teaching-learning
process to form more critical and reflective students, specifically in the context of
Professional and Technological Education. This is a study within the scope of the
Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education –
ProfEPT, with the objective of producing a guidance guide for the use of Twitter/X as
a pedagogical tool. Initially, a literature review will be conducted to guide the
research, based on studies produced on the topic. This review will be conducted
through a systematic literature review (SLR), which allows gathering and
systematically synthesizing the available evidence on a given topic, providing a
comprehensive view of the current state of knowledge. A mixed questionnaire will be
used to collect the data, considering the breadth of the research. Data analysis will
be conducted using Bardin's content analysis technique. From the perspective of the
teachers' profiles regarding the use of the social media Twitter/X, the research aims
to identify whether or not it is used for pedagogical purposes and, from this, to
develop a usage guide that allows this social network to be efficiently employed as a
didactic tool in the teaching and learning process.

The study addresses the National Student Assistance Program (Pnaes), which has been developed within the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education since its approval in 2010. The aforementioned Program has a multiplicity of management, while in the context of IFRS, it is regulated thru the Student Assistance Policy. Therefore, the applied research is characterized by a qualitative approach and aims to analyze the implications and contributions of Pnaes for the retention and success of students who receive student aid and its relationship with the configuration of the Program's management. Methodologically, it is anchored in bibliographic research techniques, document analysis, and field research. The IFRS was chosen as the field, specifically the Alvorada, Caxias do Sul, and Sertão campuses. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 11 students who receive student assistance from Pnaes, which were recorded and transcribed. Thru content analysis and the listed categories, this study demonstrated the implications of Pnaes in the students' lives, based on the use of student aid resources for paying bus fares, as well as for buying snacks, in achieving the goal of retention. It was also noted that, in addition to the assistance, the receipt of teaching, research, and extension scholarships is fundamental for the material permanence of these students. Furthermore, other demands were highlighted, which allow for a glimpse into student life and, consequently, an understanding of aspects that involve the management of student assistance at IFRS, and also the institution as a whole. As a result, an Educational Welcome and Orientation Event was developed for incoming students, with the purpose of disseminating institutional policies and familiarizing them with the school. This action aims to create conditions for student retention.

  • This research, an integral part of the Postgraduate Course in Professional and Technological Education - ProfEPT, Professional Master's Degree, has as its general objective to rescue the historical documents and memories of the technical course in Viticulture and Enology at IFRS - Bento Gonçalves Campus over the period from 1959 to 2024. The research is linked to the Research Line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces at EPT, Macroproject 4 - History and memories in the context of EPT. The research approach is qualitative and exploratory. Data collection involved a focus group with four participants, including faculty, administrative staff, and alumni—people who followed the history of the Technical Course in Viticulture and Enology from 1959 to 2024. Document analysis included written records and images related to the course during this same period. An interpretive perspective, in light of the theory adopted in the dissertation, was incorporated into the data analysis. The Technical Course in Viticulture and Enology, a pioneering program in Brazil, celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2024. Founded in 1959, the School of Viticulture and Enology gave rise to the Bento Gonçalves Campus. The research findings include: the historical and cultural connection between the Technical Course in Viticulture and Enology and the legacy of Italian immigrants who settled in the region; The recovery of historical documents, photographs and newspapers obtained from collections such as the Municipal Public Library, the Bento Gonçalves Historical Archive and the Permanent Archive of IFRS – Bento Gonçalves Campus reveals aspects of the period preceding the creation of the Technical Course in Viticulture and Enology, including expressions of the local community's expectations for the implementation of the school. Furthermore, records such as CVs allow us to track the course's development and the changes that have occurred over time. • This research, part of the Master's program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) and part of the Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education research line, sought to understand Peer Tutoring (PT) as a support method for the inclusion of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Professional and Technological Education. The research question is: Is peer tutoring a support method for students with autism spectrum disorder that contributes to their inclusion in professional education? We research academic theory to conceptualize this practice and also to understand other aspects related to the inclusion of autistic students in integrated high school. We analyzed the perceptions of those involved in the tutoring experience linked to Napne, adopted by the two campuses studied. This is an applied research with a qualitative approach. Field research involved semi-structured interviews. Data were interpreted based on the methodology of discursive textual analysis. The literature supporting this study validates Peer Tutoring as a potential supportive method for autistic students in integrated high school, and this understanding can be expanded to all students with special educational needs. The theory about PT presents a variety of models for the practical application of Peer Tutoring; however, they share the common characteristic of structuring these practices, which we summarize as: Planning; Tutor Selection; Tutor Training; Pairing; Supervision; and Ongoing Guidance. Based on this understanding, we conclude that the experiences at both campuses are not characterized as Peer Tutoring, but they do have similarities. Nevertheless, the experiences analyzed were perceived as successful by the participants, and benefits for the students involved were also evident. The research findings supported the formulation of the Educational Product - Peer Tutoring Handbook: Accessibility and Inclusion for Students with ASD - which was developed to assist in the process of structuring peer tutoring at the campuses studied.

  • This document is a research project for the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), within the research line of Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT). Its objective is to expand and encourage accessibility in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) for deaf candidates in the Selection Processes (PS) of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul – IFRS. According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the percentage of people with hearing disabilities in the educational context is low. As per Decree 5,626 of 2005, deaf individuals are guaranteed access to education. This Decree is of great importance for deaf individuals, as their first language is Libras and the second, used in writing, is Portuguese. Thus, through this research, the author will address the issue of accessibility for deaf candidates in the IFRS Selection Process.

In 2014, the accessibility of exams through video exams in Libras was initiated, and later, the announcements were made available in Libras. This type of accessibility continues to occur to this day, but it is not implemented in all courses, such as postgraduate courses. It was also observed that in the last seven years, the number of deaf candidates registered was low. This fact is concerning because IFRS is a federal public and free educational institution and should therefore be a model for sign language accessibility, influencing other institutions, given that Libras is a priority for deaf people.

This research aims to investigate the strategies that have been adopted to promote accessibility in the IFRS selection process, including the analysis of institutional policies and the mapping of demands pointed out by deaf candidates, aiming to provide theoretical and methodological subsidies for the expansion and/or improvement of such inclusive practices in the context of EPT.

The problem that this research aims to answer is: How can accessibility in Libras be improved in the IFRS Selection Processes? Regarding the methodology, it is a qualitative research with an applied nature. In terms of objectives, it is an exploratory research. Regarding data collection procedures, it is a survey research. After collecting and analyzing the data, an educational product in the form of "educational media" was created, aiming to improve the accessibility of IFRS selection processes. Thus, this dissertation and the educational product suggest improvements in the IFRS selection process, bringing considerations about the rights of deaf people to sign language, including in the world of work and EPT. It is argued that accessibility in Libras enhances the autonomy and independence of deaf individuals, providing education for equality to all people.

  • The present study is part of the research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education, from the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education, of the Associated Institution, Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul - Campus Porto Alegre. The research topic refers to the supervised internship in the High School Integrated to Professional Education (EMIEP) and it had the following question as problematization: how to qualify the access to the set of regulations and guidelines on supervised internships within the scope of EMIEP, based on the meanings evidenced in the discourses of civil servants and students, of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFSul) câmpus Camaquã? To this end, it aims to analyze in the discourses of students and employees of IFSul câmpus Camaquã, the conceptions of Supervised Internship and its relevance in EMIEP, with the purpose of developing an educational product that qualifies access to the set of regulations and guidelines on internships, with a view to articulation with the world of work. The methodological approach was qualitative and quantitative, of an applied nature. As for the exploratory, descriptive and explanatory objectives, we seekgreater familiarity with the problem, producing data through bibliographic survey, document analysis and field research. To this end, the locus of the study was the IFSul câmpus Camaquã and interviews were conducted with the servers (three coordinators of integrated high school courses and one extension coordinator) involved in the supervised internship processes and an online questionnaire was applied to EMIEP students attending the fourth years of the 2022 school year, in a total of 56 students. Data analysis was based on the theoretical-methodological foundation of the (Análise dos Movimentos e Sentidos (AMS)) Analysis of Sense Movements (SMA). Difficulties in accessing documents and communicating with the internship sector were evidenced. In addition, there was a need to promote greater articulation between school and local companies to implement more vacancies for supervised internships. Therefore, two educational products (EP) were elaborated: 1) the Guia d@ Estagiári@, classified as didactic/instructional material, aimed at students as a facilitator of access to documents, legislation and other materials related to the themes of work and internships; 2) the "I Internship and Professions Fair of IFSul Campus Camaquã", aimed at civil servants, consisting of a step-by-step guide for an organized event. This study and the EPs place the supervised internships as a possibility of overcoming the perspective of a simple referral to the market, to reach the level of articulator between the pedagogical work carried out in the institution and the world of work. The EPs will be made available in a public repository, and have the possibility of becoming tools for other educational institutions.

  • Work is the reason why we say we are human, whether through work of any nature, agriculture, industry, or services, we obtain our subsistence. Work and education are specifically human activities, in which only human beings work and educate. In this context, Professional and Technological Education (EPT) plays an important role in the education scenario in Brazil, in line with the concern with the quality of teaching and the challenges for the integration of work and education. The Professional Learning Program unites work and education throughout history, being a program of professional qualification and insertion in the labor market. In this way, working in the world of work is not an easy task, as it requires professionals who know how to work in a team, communicate clearly, adapt to situations of changes in the market, make decisions and solve problems. The profile of these professionals needs to be developed within the scope of professional training, consisting of a challenge for the teacher, as he needs to seek a methodology that contributes to this achievement. In view of the above, this research has the general objective of understanding the potential of Problem-Based Learning for the development of interpersonal relationships in the world of work in the context of the subject “Citizenship and Work”, of the Administrative Assistant Course of the Young Apprentice Program of Colégio Teutonia. To achieve the proposed objective of the study, the research will be composed of five specific objectives: I) Investigate how the Problem-Based Learning methodology has been used in the context of the Young Apprentice Program; II) Identify desirable elements of communication and professional posture for interpersonal relationships in the world of work; III) Know the student profile of the Administrative Assistant course of the Young Apprentice Program at Colégio Teutônia; IV) Develop a pedagogical practice based on the Problem-Based Learning methodology on “Work and Interpersonal Relations” with students of the Citizenship and Work discipline;and, V) Create an educational product that supports teaching practice in the application of Problem-Based Learning aimed at training Young Apprentices. This research has a qualitative approach, its applied nature, and in terms of purposes it is classified as exploratory. In some situations, it may present descriptive research bias. The locus of the research is Colégio Teutônia. Students from the Administrative Assistant course of the Young Apprentice Program will participate. With this research it is expected to promote the education of students of the Administrative Assistant Course, as well as to demonstrate the potential of Problem-Based Learning, to provide the development of interpersonal relationships in the world of work in the context of the discipline of "Citizenship and Work" for students. students of the researched course. From this research, an educational product will be proposed that will consist of a textual material on PBL to support the teaching practice in the application of Problem-Based Learning, the material will be aimed at the formation of the Young Apprentice.

  • This dissertation describes the research developed in the Professional and Technological Education Master's Program (ProfEPT) of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) - campus Porto Alegre, in the research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT) under the macro-project 6 - Organization of Pedagogical Spaces of PTE. The general objective of the investigation was to analyze the contributions of teaching, research and extension projects to the permanence and school success of scholarship students of the Integrated High School (EMI), developed at the Campus Viamão of IFRS, in the period between 2018 and 2023, also developing actions to contribute to the institution, considering the possibilities for students to participate in teaching, research and extension projects. The research is centered in a qualitative and applied approach with exploratory and descriptive goals. Bibliographic research and document analysis have been conducted as methodological procedures. For data collection, we used semi-structured interviews with scholarship students, project coordinators, the coordinator of the Coordination of Student Assistance (CAE) and with the coordinator of the Commission for Monitoring Actions of Student Permanence and Success (CIAAPE). The analysis of the collected data allowed us to identify the reasons that lead students to participate in the selection notices for scholarship projects, as well as the contributions of this participation to their school permanence and success. The thematic content analysis methodology, by Bardin (1977), was applied over the data gathered from the research subjects, parting from categories, related to our theoretical framework, which were previously defined: Polytechnic, being a category that encompasses the subcategories: work as an educational Principle, Research as a pedagogical principle; as well as the permanence and school success category. We identified from the interviews with the scholarship students interviewed, the subcategories that emerged from the analysis, which are related to the a priori categories. Thus, during the analysis emerged themes such as: scholarship, sociability, belonging, integration between theory and practice and experience as a scholar. In the theoretical framework we approach polytechnics, work as an educational principle, research as a pedagogical principle, integrated curriculum and permanence and school success. From the results obtained in the stages of the investigation and after analyzing the data of the interviews conducted, the educational product (PE) was elaborated, resulting in a practical guide for students at Integrated High School. It was possible to verify the need for dissemination and clarification about what are the teaching, research and extension projects, scholarship selection notices, about scholarships, reports, lattes curriculum, as well as about what the student's experience as a scholarship holder means in the training process. At the final stage of the research, the educational product was applied experimentally and evaluated in an online form, where the participants considered it an important instrument to encourage more students to get involved in projects, being able to contribute to their school permanence and success.

  • This dissertation describes a qualitative, applied, and exploratory research aimed at understanding, analyzing, and promoting alternatives for implementing an evaluation proposal of the Affirmative Action Policies (PAAf) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul, contributing to its consolidation. The research investigated the possibilities of collective construction of this evaluation proposal through dialogue and listening to the academic community of Bento Gonçalves Campus, chosen for this research due to being one of the initial phase campuses at the time of the Federal Institutes creation and having established and consolidated Affirmative Action centers. The research focused on the years 2021 to 2023. The target audience consisted of the coordinators of the affirmative action centers, being the staff members most familiar with the subject: the Center for Assistance to People with Specific Educational Needs (Napne), the Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (Neabi), and the Center for Gender and Sexuality Studies and Research (Nepgs). Three Integrated High School students who benefited in some way from the IFRS Affirmative Action Policy participated in the student segment of the research. Additionally, two Integrated High School teachers who interact with students served by PAAf and two administrative technicians working with the student assistance coordination at Bento Gonçalves Campus of IFRS participated. Bibliographical and documentary studies that supported the research were conducted. The participants' perceptions of the actions taken in the Policy's implementation were collected through semi-structured interviews. After analyzing the interview data using Bardin's (2011) Content Analysis technique, Ball's Policy Cycle (2011), and other research stages, the final categories were obtained: Continuing Education, Training, Awareness, Affirmative Actions, PAAf Evaluation, Inclusion, Diversity, Accessibility, Student Aid, Support for Affirmative Action Centers, Access, and Inclusive Institution. With these categories, a matrix with indicators was constructed, in addition to the questions formulated as an evaluation proposal for PAAf. This indicator matrix was included in the IFRS Affirmative Action Policy Evaluation Guide, an Educational Product intended for the entire IFRS academic community. The EP aims to provide guidelines and detailed information to the IFRS academic community about evaluating the IFRS Affirmative Action Policy (PAAf), promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in the institution.

  • This study deals with the theme of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) and its reflection in technical courses. As part of the "Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Vocational and Technological Education" research line of the Graduate Program in Vocational and Technological Education (ProfEPT), the question was: what are the effects of Industry 4.0 on the world of work, according to the perception of the graduates of the Technical Courses of the Mesquita Technical School in Porto Alegre/Rio Grande do Sul? The aim of this research is to understand the meanings attributed to I4.0 by the graduates of the José César de Mesquita Technical School in Porto Alegre, in order to propose an educational product that contributes to the integral human formation of the working class. It is classified as applied, with a qualitative approach and is theoretically and methodologically based on the Analysis of the Movements of Meanings (AMS), and the data was produced through bibliographical and field research. Its locus was the José César de Mesquita Technical School and its universe encompassed 2,635 graduates from the Industrial Mechanics, Electronics and Industrial Automation Technical Courses, from 2014 to 2022. In order to produce the data, a documentary analysis of the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPCs) of the Technical Courses in Mechanics, Industrial Automation and Electronics at the José César de Mesquita Technical School was carried out and a semi-structured interview based on a 17-question script was applied to 24 graduates. The AMS revealed an understanding of the technological advances associated with I4.0 and the need for qualifications to understand the subject. However, the perspectives did not indicate explicit consideration of the opposing aspects of these advances, such as the concept of dead work, job insecurity and the possible adverse consequences that I4.0 can have. As a result of the analysis, an educational product was developed in the form of a vocational training course for vocational education students. The course was developed on the Moodle platform and also in workbook format and is divided into three modules, plus a presentation. The aim of the course is to encourage reflection on the I4.0 theme in relation to Technology, Work and Education, in order to help ensure that the pedagogical work carried out enables the integral human formation of the working class.

  • This Master's dissertation in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) was developed in the concentration area of Teaching - Professional and Technological Education (EPT), specifically in the research line Educational Practices in EPT, within Macroproject 2 – Inclusion and Diversity in Formal and Non-Formal Teaching Spaces in EPT. The study focused on the actions of a Women's Collective, formed by workers who graduated from an Initial and Continuing Education Course (FIC) offered by IFRS – Viamão campus, between 2014 and 2015. This collective works to promote the inclusion of women in the workforce and the continuation of their educational processes, providing an environment where women artisans inspire each other and promote actions focused on sustainability, the solidarity economy, and support. The research aimed to understand the potential and challenges faced by these women, listening to their experiences and producing theoretical and methodological contributions to improve teaching practices in EPT in non-school settings, with a special focus on promoting gender equity. The qualitative study included bibliographic research, document analysis, and participatory research. The latter was conducted through interviews and structured questionnaires applied to the women who have been part of the Collective since its creation up to the present day. The data were organized into categories based on Bardin's (2016) studies, whose analyses served as the foundation for the development of four thematic workshops, carried out in partnership with the Women's Collective. The results were compiled into a guide with suggested workshop outlines, aimed at improving educational practices in the context of FIC courses, with the goal of promoting gender equity. This educational product aims to inspire other initiatives in non-school contexts, contributing to the creation of inclusive and diverse spaces and strengthening the relationship between professional and technological education and gender equity practices.

  • This dissertation proposes an analysis of knowledge management in the context of Federal Institutes (IFs), with a focus on the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). IFs seek to integrate and vertically integrate basic, professional, and higher education. For this, knowledge management is essential to enhance teaching, research, and extension activities. The objective was to understand the mechanisms of knowledge management in the formal spaces of IFRS, aiming at expanding institutional collective learning. For this, the following specific objectives were considered: A) Systematize the creation of knowledge from formal spaces; B) Evaluate the implementation of a tool for organizing knowledge from formal spaces; and C) Investigate tools that promote knowledge management and organization, focusing on strategies aimed at institutional self-learning. The research hypothesis is that the appropriate use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and stimuli to active student participation can accelerate the organization of knowledge in the formal spaces of IFRS-POA, thus fostering organizational learning. The theoretical framework was based on the conceptuais bases of ProfEPT, on the main authors of knowledge management. Additionally, Robert Gagné's principle (1980) was used as a strategy for developing a student service catalog as an educational product that could enhance knowledge management. The value of this study for the institution lies in the promotion of alternatives to organize the workflow and knowledge generated in the formal spaces of IFRS-POA. This research was developed within the scope of the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) at IFRS, in the research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in EPT, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sérgio Wesner Viana.

It sought to answer the following research question: what is the knowledge of teachers and students about technologies and what are their perspectives regarding the use of Open Educational Resources (REA) in educational practices, aiming at the articulation between education and the world of work, particularly in the context of EJA-EPT? To this end, the general objective was to investigate the knowledge and practices of EJA-EPT teachers and students about the use of technologies in the context of education and work, focusing on the potentialities and demands for the use of REA, to improve teaching practices. This is a qualitative study that involved bibliographical and documentary research. Furthermore, the mapping of previous conceptions and demands of teachers and students of the National Program for the Integration of Vocational Education with Basic Education in the Modality of Education for Young People and Adults (PROEJA) of the IFRS was carried out through a questionnaire. The data produced were analyzed through Content Analysis. Subsequently, they were systematized through the elaboration of an Educational Product, in the format of a proposal for an REA, a Padlet, which will be made available on the EduCAPES Portal and on the ProfEPT Observatory. With this research, we hope to promote the expansion of studies on the concepts of technologies, work and education in the context of EJA-EPT, producing theoretical and methodological subsidies for the use of REA as strategies for improving teaching practices with young and adult workers.

  • The present study aims at historically rescuing integrated secondary education before Decree nº 2.208/97 and after Decree nº 5.154/04 by, today, Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense. Inserted in the Research Line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education, of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), it will have the IFSul Campus Pelotas as its research location. Based on the historical recovery of contexts and normative guidelines experienced by professional education in the periods immediately prior to Decree No. 2208/97 and after Decree No. 5154/04, it will analyze the perspectives of curricular integration envisaged by the Institution in these two moments. With the elements provided by the research carried out, it will propose an instrument to encourage the reflective analysis of the academic community of this Campus on the course in Integrated Secondary Education currently carried out by the institution. This is a research with a qualitative approach of a descriptive and exploratory nature. The methodological path for data collection and production will be through bibliographic and documentary research and semi-structured interviews. The interviews will be carried out with professors, students and civil servants who had some experience of Integrated High School and who had a link with the institution in the period that preceded Decree nº 2.208/1997, when it was called Cefet RS, as well as in the period after Decree nº 5.154/2004, after which it was titled as IFSul. The purpose of the interview is to establish an interlocution about the theoretical-methodological frameworks and the empirical reality, thus contributing to meet the objectives defined for the research. From the analysis of the data and the syntheses carried out, it is envisaged to produce a documentary compiling the narratives and memories of the interviewed subjects, whose experiences allow understanding and reflecting on the course in Integrated Secondary Education carried out by the institution, according to the established time frames. . Through this study, we hope to contribute to the reflection on the historical dualism that characterizes the Brazilian educational system and that directs policies aimed at the organization of professional education in the country. In this way, from the historical recovery, the memories and the experiences lived in the context of Integrated Teaching, it is intended to obtain elements that allow to subsidize the reflection on the setbacks and advances that occurred in this teaching modality, so that it can indicate its social importance, the effects on public professional education as an integral part of basic education and as a right of all citizens.

  • The present research of the Professional Master's Degree in Technological Education – ProfEPT, is linked to the research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), in Macroproject 6 – Organization of pedagogical spaces of EPT. The study aimed to show to what extent technical professional training contributed to the lives of graduates, in maturity (people aged 50+ years) of the technical course in Bakery, subsequent to high school, offered at the Osório campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). The time frame was established for the period between 2015 and 2021. This research has taken a qualitative and exploratory approach. The main instrument for datar production was the semi-structured interview, which had a single script for the participants. For the analysis of the data produced, the content analysis techniques proposed by Bardin (1997) were used. All interviews were audio-recorded and later transcribed by the researcher. Subsequently, an educational product (e-book of recipes and life narratives) was developed with guidelines from the methodologies and theoretical contributions that supported and dialogued with the problematization and objectives of the research, with a view to socializing the experiences of these graduates with the community. The e-book presents technical recipes of preference and recipes of an affective nature of each participant. In addition, a timeline is included that covers the technical events, workshops and extension projects that preceded the creation of the technical course in Baking at the Osório campus of the Federal Institute (IFRS). This chronology highlights the potential of technical training to meet the demands of local communities. Based on the results obtained, it is clear that the technical course in Baking had a highly positive impact on the lives of its participants. From a technical point of view, a substantial improvement in skills and understanding of the processes related to the production of various bakery products was observed. On a personal level, graduates reported significant benefits to their emotional well-being and autonomy. These results are particularly relevant for mature adults, who often face specific challenges related to employability and social integration.

  • This research paper addresses a relevant topic in society, especially in the post-pandemic context: the professional insertion of women in the world of work, focusing on the field of administration and the contributions of professional and technological education (EPT) in this process. It is assumed that EPT plays a crucial role in preparing for the constant changes in the job market, developing essential technical knowledge and skills for various occupations. With technological evolution and new professional demands, EPT becomes an important means of updating and preparing workers. In the case of women, the challenges are even more significant, due to salary inequalities, discrimination and difficulties in career progression. Therefore, understanding how women enter areas traditionally dominated by men, such as administration, is essential to promote gender equality and female empowerment. The research examines the perspectives of women who graduated from the Technical Course in Administration offered by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) – Porto Alegre Campus. The participants were graduates who graduated between 2017 and 2022, as well as the two coordinators of the course, which is offered in the morning and evening shifts, both in the subsequent modalities and integrated with high school, through the National Program for the Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education (Proeja). With a descriptive and exploratory nature, the research adopts a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. To collect data, questionnaires were applied to the 62 graduates, interviews with the course coordinators and document analysis. The results showed that, although the participants recognize the value of public education and see it as an opportunity for access to work, they face great difficulties in entering the market, related to factors such as gender inequality, structural prejudices, disproportionate family responsibilities and economic limitations. In the field of social sciences, research on gender must consider the complexity and dynamics of the structural and cultural factors that affect human movement in society. A gap identified in the research is the feeling of unpreparedness for the world of work, even after completing the course, and that a career development plan would be an essential tool to promote the integration of graduates into the world of work, ensuring that the technical training obtained is used effectively in their professional careers.

  • This final paper was developed in the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), which belongs to the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education in a national network (ProfEPT). It is linked to the research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT) and belongs to the Macroproject of Organization of Pedagogical Spaces of EPT. It aimed to analyze the asset management of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFSul), highlighting tools and forms of control regarding the asset incorporation of permanent movable assets in the Institution, originating from teaching, research and extension projects involving EPT. This is an applied research, descriptive in nature, with an exploratory dimension, which was developed through a qualitative approach, accompanied by a quantitative treatment. To this end, document analysis, bibliographic research and field study were used, in which those responsible for the management and control of the aforementioned assets of each campus and the Rectory of IFSul participated, totaling 14 subjects, since the Gravataí Campus was not involved because the researcher is responsible for the Coordination of Warehouse and Assets. Also involved were pro-rectors, directors, department heads and coordinators responsible for the teaching, research and extension sectors of the 14 campuses and the Rectory. Data collection was carried out by applying a questionnaire to those responsible for the management and control of movable assets and conducting semi-structured interviews with the pro-rectors, directors, department heads and teaching, research and extension coordinators. With this investigation, it was possible to highlight the importance of the asset management of movable assets, considering the current legislation, as an integral part of educational management. Through the control and conservation of these assets, the academic community has adequate objective conditions for the development of the integral education of students, effectively contributing to the improvement of the quality of teaching. The results obtained provided essential support for the production of the dissertation and the educational product that are part of the master's degree course. In addition, the findings contributed to facilitate the understanding of the main concepts and procedures in the execution and reporting of research and extension projects, improve asset management and promote greater efficiency and clarity in the administrative procedures of IFSul, providing useful guidance for both extension workers and researchers. As a direct result, it is expected that such improvements will contribute to the achievement of the educational objectives of educational institutions that offer EPT.

  • This research project, called "Youth insertion in the world of work in contemporary society: difficulties and perspectives", aims to analyze the main alternatives (paths) available in contemporary society for the insertion of young people in the world of work, as well as difficulties and perspectives that are encountered in this process in order to produce a guide (printed or available on the Internet, in a website) that contributes to clarify issues relevant to the theme and promote more effective participation of young people in society and contribute to the development of Professional and Technological Education (PTE) that contemplates an integral human training. This is a descriptive research, with an exploratory dimension, which will be developed following an approach predominantly based on a qualitative and dialectic perspective, accompanied by a quantitative treatment, following the movements and contradictions of the educational spaces and the different contexts of contemporary youth considering their multiple aspects. It will be carried out based on bibliographic research that underlies and guides the work, taking into account materials already published on the themes of youth, the world of work and PTE (books, journal articles and materials available on the Internet), document analysis, as well as through a field research, taking the form of a case study, which will involve young high school students who live in the southern part of the city of Porto Alegre - RS, focusing on two distinct groups: students who work in the "Young Apprentice Program" and students who develop activities in "Non-obligatory Curricular Remunerated Internships", as well as managers of internship integration agencies. The data will be collected through the application of a questionnaire to 100% of the students who work in the "Young Apprentice Program" at the Clube Professor Gaúcho and 40% of a total of 105 students who do non-mandatory curricular paid internships (42 students) and who attend the Colégio Estadual Odila Gay da Fonseca, interviews with managers of the internship integration agencies, and analysis of documents related to these programs. The data obtained from the field research will be analyzed in an interconnected and interdependent way in comparison with the references obtained from the bibliographic research and with the documents analyzed. With these procedures it is expected to contribute to produce an educational product that contributes to clarify issues relevant to the theme and to promote the participation of young people in contemporary society, as well as to contribute to the planning, definition and feedback of educational policies aimed at technical high school professional education, as well as to the educational institutions that offer this kind of education, strengthening the development of the PTE that contemplates an integral human formation. Finally, it is hoped that this research work will help young people to critically understand the process of professional insertion in the world of work and to participate more effectively in society. Moreover, the research will be of great value for my own professional/personal training as well as for my academic career.

  • In view of the importance that Professional Education has historically achieved in Brazil, in 2017 the creation of the Professional Master's Degree in Professional Education in a National Network (ProfEPT) was instituted and, through public policies of inclusion, guarantees accessibility to all of the National Entrance Examination (ENA). Upon joining the program, deaf academics are accompanied by Sign Language Interpreter Translators (TILS) in all activities of the master's degree, and it is by reflecting on the work of these professionals that this research emerges. Considering the specificities of the conceptual bases of Professional and Technological Education (EPT), our objective was to investigate the process of translation and interpretation of TILS in ProfEPT, with the purpose of contributing to the development of an educational product to support studies and research and that could help in the translation process. In order to structure the theoretical bases that underlie this research, we have established six chapters that deal with a brief history of the EPT and the pragmatic aspects of the TILS' performance. The methodology is characterized as a qualitative approach, with an applied and exploratory nature. Based on the technical procedures adopted, we classified the proposal as participant research, as it involves the researcher with the investigated situation. We had the participation of twelve TILS who worked at ProfEPT. We divided the methodological route into two stages. The first consisted of data collection through the application of a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews and qualitative analysis of the collected information. The second stage describes the creation of the educational product, which was developed using the Padlet as a collaborative tool and brings a compilation of information in Libras about the master's program and the bases that guide Professional and Technological Education. We understand that, from the understanding of the reality of the TILS work in the EPT, our work presented a product that helps in the transformation of its praxis. In addition, our study can help prepare deaf candidates for the National Exam for Access to ProfEPT, as well as instigate further research in the area on the creation of sign-terms for EPT.

  • Professional and Technological Education had a great advance since Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology creation in 2008. However, there is much to be studied in order to improve processes of access, permanence and success of students who are part of the daily activities of these institutions. This research was developed through a qualitative approach, in an applied and exploratory way in relation to the objectives. The procedures were related to an interpretative research and rely on the complementarity of quantitative data available on Nilo Peçanha’s Platform and on IFRS Erechim Campus Coordination of Academic Records. In this regard, the object of study dealt with access, permanence and success of students who enter via regular selection process and are linked to the professional rehabilitation program demanded by the INSS. These students seek the subsequent secondary technical courses at IFRS Erechim Campus, under INSS direction. Therefore, we sought to find out about the performance and the causes and possible effects that lead to the retention and/or evasion of the referred students. This study was developed concerned about this worker who was incapacitated for the previous activity and his conditions and specific aspects, considering that professional readaptation aims at reinsertion in the labor market. Thus, we sought to establish organizational strategies for access, permanence and success of these students, also allowing that, in this rehabilitation program, combined with professional education, there is the possibility of a different look at aspects of the world of work. In this direction, the institutional mission is reaffirmed to provide comprehensive training with a view to human emancipation, supported by the principles of science, culture, technology and work that are basic elements of the research line of Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces at EPT, linked to the Professional and Technological Master (ProfEPT). This work also aimed at the applicability of the knowledge generated through the development of an educational product that shows institutional alternatives to better serve students in INSS professional rehabilitation, with the aim of access, permanence and success in subsequent technical courses of the aforementioned Institute. As a result of the research, the lack of communication between federative entities stands out, generated by the precarious identification of INSS insured persons, thus hindering the use of institutional strategies, mainly through student assistance and NAPNE. In this sense, it was possible, through research, to relate causes and effects and establish strategies to minimize the difficulties faced, with the purpose of providing the emancipation of the insured student.

  • The present investigation was developed in the course of the Professional Master's program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) and is linked to the research line of Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education, in Macroproject 2 - Inclusion and diversity in formal and non-formal teaching spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), focusing on black youth, in the context of professional education, in a social institution, in Vila Cruzeiro, in the south zone of the city of Porto Alegre. The central objective of the research was to promote listening to young black people who are part of this non-school education, articulating with studies on youth, structural racism and the world of work, aiming at the production of theoretical and methodological incentives for the improvement of teaching practices, in particular , in the context of Professional and Technological Education (EPT). The research had a qualitative approach and regarding the procedures, it was characterized as a participant research. The research counts with the participation of young people from a community in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre linked to a Project of Initial Formation of Professional and Technological Education, which is offered by a social and educational institution, present in the community. The young people's adherence was decided and the research was approved by the IFRS Research Ethics Committee. At first, such participation consisted of completing the guidelines followed, in order to map prior knowledge about the themes of this study, namely: structural racism, racism in the world of work, racism and youthBased on such data, workshops were structured, called Racial Literacy Workshops, created from the needs of deepening some concepts, perceived in the young people's responses to the first questionnaire. From the realization of the workshops and their evaluation by the young people, an Educational Product was created, in the format of an Activity Guide containing the description of the workshops on Racial Literacy for the promotion of an Anti-racist Education in the context of Professional Education and Technological. In the first part, the concepts are approached and, in sequence, the description of the proposed activities, which were elaborated and improved from the dialogue with the young participants of the study. Next, the Educational Product was evaluated by the educators for whom it is intended, who work with young people in the context of professional education, within the institution where the research was carried out. Finally, As a result of the research, we highlight the need to expand initiatives aimed at promoting anti-racist education practices, especially in the EPT, however not reducing the discussion of racism to specific events, but scheduling it as a present, urgently needed in professional training courses. In this approach, the results of this study systematized in the Guide, point to theoretical and methodological subsidies so that educators can promote spaces for listening to young people and developing teaching practices that contribute to confronting structural racism, in particular, in professional education and in the world of work.

  • This research will be developed within the scope of the Professional Master in
Vocational and Technological Education at IFRS, in the research line Organization and
Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in EPT. Risk management in public procurement is
a governance instrument and materialized in the form of a risk map in the procurement
planning phase, it is about the implementation and consolidation of a new legal
paradigm that represents a mechanism to identify, evaluate, and manage potential
events that may affect the institution and harming the achievement of its objectives.
The qualification of the public hiring processes in an educational institution, as a
transversal activity that can maximize the reach of the teaching, research, and
extension objectives, goes through educational practices, which, using praxis, can
contribute to the formation of the public servant with emphasis on the understanding
and significance of his work process, placing him in a position of protagonism of his
own history and the history of society. In this way, this research sought to understand
and learn about the praxis of the construction process of risk maps in the planning
phase of IFRS procurements and the level of significance of this activity from the point
of view of the members of the planning teams, through applied, bibliographical,
documentary and exploratory research, in a case study with qualitative content
analysis. The theoretical framework used is based on legislation and federal norms
and control organs about public governance and risk management, in a conversation
that covers the ontological nature of work, the context of work as an educational
principle, the movement of praxis, and Lev Vygotsky's theory of learning. The result of
the research materialized a MOOC course, entitled "Why, when and how to build risk
maps in public procurement", which proposes to contribute, as an educational product,
with the creation of pedagogical spaces in EPT and the training of public servants of
the procurement planning teams, expanding their cognitive and attitudinal skills and
bringing meaning to their work to qualify the process of building risk maps, while
maximizing the possibility of achieving the institutional objectives, transforming society
as it strengthens the Federal Education Network.

  • The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) manages the academic data of its students through different academic systems, including the Integrated System of Academic Management and Activities (SIGAA). The SIGAA was configured based on the IFRS Didactic Organization with the purpose of managing the data of subjects and students of all educational levels of the institution. The SIGAA consists of 44 modules, among them the “Portal Docente” (Teacher Portal) and “Turma Virtual” (Virtual Class). In the “Portal Docente” are registered all subjects, conducted by each teacher in the semester/academic year. The teachers use the SIGAA “Portal Docente” to manage their students' academic information. At SIGAA, the subjects are managed through the module called “Turma Virtual”. The “Turma Virtual” is used to register the teaching plan, to register attendance and students' grades, to access the class diary, in addition to providing a virtual environment that allows the sharing of content, interaction through forums, polls, information and tasks. The Information Technology Directorate (DTI) leads training for the Academic Secretariat, for each course implemented at SIGAA, and another training for teachers about “Turma Virtual”. At the end of the teachers' training, it is suggested that a server be responsible for sharing this knowledge with their peers. From my professional experience at DTI, where I dedicate myself to training and supporting SIGAA users, I found that the SIGAA training process needs to be improved to solve difficulties/problems and reach all teachers who use the SIGAA. In the perspective of the development of my master's research in the context of the master course in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), this study seeks to investigate how to train users for the IFRS SIGAA, based on the integral human formation and autonomy, in order to broaden their knowledge in relation to work in the academic system. The research will have a qualitative, applied and exploratory methodology. The instruments for data collection will be questionnaires and documental research. The research locus will be IFRS and the participants will be employees who use the “Turma Virtual” module of SIGAA. For data analysis, simple tabulation and discursive textual analysis will be used. Good practices it were found that training what can be adopted in educational institutions what use SIGAA. These experiences inspire the production and sharing of new knowledge with the potential to transform reality in the training of teachers as well as in the qualification of teaching. It was identified in the perceptions of the teachers the facilities (potentialities) and difficulties (weaknesses) in the use of the functionalities of the “Turma Virtual” of SIGAA. These difficulties are linked to the lack of knowledge of the functionalities of the “Turma Virtual” of SIGAA, as well as the rules of the OD of the IFRS integrated in the system. It was found that the usability of the “Turma Virtual” of SIGAA is “good”, but requires improvements in the system. From the search was elaborated a formative action, what consists of two educational products, which were presented and positively evaluated.

  • This study, at the level of the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), consists of identifying and understanding the impacts generated by the dimensioning of personnel, in the performance of Administrative Technicians in Education (TAEs). Administrative Technicians in Education are career civil servants who carry out specific activities, working with Federal Education Institutions. However, for these institutions to achieve their objectives and mission, before society, teaching staff and Administrative Technicians are necessary, the latter being the executors of middle activities, such as administrative activities and support services. The process of dimensioning TAEs employees basically occurs due to the legal attributions inherent to the positions they hold, endowed with a technical vision with a strategic and managerial sense. However, most of the time, in this process, the individual and personal aspects of the server are not observed or considered as complementary criteria, such as the set of knowledge, skills, atitudes and trajectory, in addition to other variables that may interfere and influence the performance and performance of this professional. The study aims to identify the consequences generated by the dimensioning of TAE servers, specifically in the positions of Assistant in Administration and Assistant in Administration, located at the IFRS-Campus Alvorada. Seeking to understand which organizational factors enable a full performance of this Education worker. Recognizing its role as an active agent in the educational process, relating the interaction of activities-medium with the core activity of the institution. The project will be carried out with the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul - Campus Alvorada, as well as the development of the proposed educational product, with the aim of intervening and helping managers in the adoption of a methodology in the elaboration process and implementation of a personnel dimensioning plan, through the identification of the main efes generated by dimensioning in the performance of servers.

  • The central theme of this research work is the educational praxis in the curriculum of
Secondary Education Integrated to Professional Education - EMIEP. Entitled “Educational
praxis in the teaching and learning process in the high school curriculum integrated to
professional education” it aimed to analyze the teaching and learning process present in the
EMIEP curriculum to understand which didactic, pedagogical and curricular procedures are
being adopted in the development of educational praxis in the Technical Course in
Administration Integrated to High School. In the same direction, the specific objectives listed
were a) understanding the teaching and learning process at EMIEP; b) characterize the
context of educational praxis present in EMIEP; c) Identify the didactic, pedagogical and
curricular procedures that are being used in the teaching and learning process at EMIEP; d)
    understand to what extent educational praxis is present in the curricular structure of EMIEP;
    e) Produce an educational product that helps teachers and other education professionals in
the development of educational praxis in the teaching and learning process at EMIEP. The
problem of this investigation was the following: Considering the teaching and learning
process present in the EMIEP curriculum, what didactic, pedagogical and curricular
procedures are being adopted aiming at the development of educational praxis in the
Technical Course in Administration Integrated to High School? The theoretical framework of
this research is concentrated in the works of Marise Ramos (2005, 2010, 2014), Gaudêncio
Frigotto (2005, 2018) and Karl Marx (2007, 2011, 2019). It was an exploratory research and
was developed following an approach that is predominantly based on a qualitative and
dialectical perspective, accompanied by a corresponding quantitative treatment, following the
movements and contradictions of educational spaces. It was carried out based on a
bibliographical research that supported and guided this work, based on materials already
published on the themes EMIEP, educational praxis, curriculum and professional and
technological education, documental analysis of two pedagogical projects of two Technical
courses in Administration Integrated to the High School of the Federal Institute of Education,

courses and a questionnaire applied to four teachers from each course, two from general
training and two from technical training, making up the participation of eight (8) teachers in
total, chosen in a way random, through lottery. The data obtained were analyzed in an
interconnected and interdependent way in comparison with the theoretical references
resulting from the bibliographical research, in a perspective of dialectical analysis. This
analysis of the findings in the research field revealed that the educational praxis is exercised
by the professors of the two investigated campuses, as well as evidenced the didactic,
pedagogical and curricular procedures used in the teaching and learning processes. Through
this scientific study, as well as the elaboration and execution of a corresponding educational

  • This dissertation describes the research developed under the Master in Professional and Technological Education Program (ProfEPT) of Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) - Campus Porto Alegre. The study has the main objective of investigating the motivations for student’s dropout of the subsequent courses in professional and technological education in IFRS campus Viamão/RS, as well as building alternatives to reduce it in the institution, especially regarding the actions of the servants. It is an applied qualitative approach, with exploratory and descriptive objectives. The methodological proceedings used were the bibliographic research and document analysis. Data collection was based on the application of online questionnaires with students in drop out situation and on semi-structured interviews with the course coordinators and education administrative technicians (TAE). Data analysis has allowed us to learn about the reasons which led the students to quit their courses and the narratives about the problems in the servants’ perspective. Among the motivations identified by the students are the lack of time to study, their problems managing work and studies simultaneously, financial difficulties, and issues regarding transportation. The interviews with servants and the Discursive Textual Analysis revealed categories related to the publicity of the course, profile of the graduated students, rethinking the courses, welcoming strategies, and public policies. The theoretical basis of the research counts on a concise historic approach to professional and technological education, drop out: the concept and the context of professional education, a consideration about attending the course: being successful or dropping out, institutional welcome and the findings about school drop out in professional and technological education. The results obtained in the first phase of the investigation, after being compared to the theory, have supported the creation of an educational product, which was designed with the intention of developing strategies to reduce school drop out in professional education after high school. In a final stage of the research, this educational product was applied as an experiment and assessed through an online questionnaire, which resulted in a positive evaluation by the users.

  • This research is linked to the Professional and Technological Education Graduate Program (ProfEPT), in the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technological Education, and was developed at Dr. Liberato Salzano Vieira da Cunha Municipal School of Basic Education, part of the Municipal Network of Porto Alegre. The school constitutes an important space for professional education at the secondary level, in the subsequent modality, within its community. The objective was to investigate how the Science Studies discipline in the Post High-School Teaching Program can contribute to the development of Science teaching practices committed to comprehensive education for the students of this institution. Regarding the technical procedures, the research adopted the use of a simplified scientific literacy level test, the application of a questionnaire, the conduct of semi-structured interviews, and the Discursive Textual Analysis of data. Through this analysis, the emerging categories were unveiled, presenting who the research participants are, their motivations, memories, and expectations. Early Childhood Education was understood as a unifying element that permeates all categories, as it signifies the future professional performance of the students as teachers. The data analysis of the first stage of the research, in conjunction with the theoretical framework that supports the work, allowed for the second stage of the research, which deals with the development of an Educational Product, applied over four months to three classes of the Post High-School Teaching Program, and evaluated by the students and experts in the field. The Educational Product, in the form of a Didactic Sequence, as an e-book titled "Science Teaching Practices Committed to Holistic Education: proposal of a Didactic Sequence for the Post High-School Teaching Program" aims at the scientific literacy of the students through critical, humane, and holistic education, permeated by the principles of inverted symmetry and the foundations of science didactics. The Educational Product received a positive evaluation, both from the participating students in the research and from expert teachers, which supports the idea of its replicability for future groups in the same training program and other educational institutions. It is concluded that developing scientific literacy in students of the Post High-School Teaching Program is relevant so that, in their qualified professional education at the secondary level, as future teachers, they can promote scientific literacy in Early Childhood Education classes, where they will work, by stimulating curiosity, reflection, and critical thinking, with the aim of transforming the community through play and interaction.

  • Data from the 2020 school census show that most students linked to Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) are young people between 15 and 20 years old. This public has rights and duties guaranteed by law, especially in the Youth Statute, inaugurated in 2013. Considering the importance, recognition and guarantee of constitutionally provided rights in relation to youths, this study sought to analyze the prior knowledge that youths from Secondary Education Integrated with Professional Education (EMIEP) have on the Youth Statute, in particular focusing on the right to education and work, with the aim of elaborating an educational product that contributes to the integral human formation. From the general objective, the specific objectives were structured: to map the theoretical references on work and education and public policies for youth in the current Brazilian scenario and, in particular, within the scope of EMIEP; investigate what prior knowledge students have about the Youth Statute, in particular, about the right to education and work, analyzing them from the perspective of integral human formation in the context of EPT; systematize the knowledge produced from listening to young people about the Youth Statute, developing an educational product aimed at expanding and/or improving teaching practices in the context of EPT aimed at integral human formation. The research was of an applied nature and the procedures for data production were based on a bibliographical research, document analysis and survey, based on the application of an online questionnaire with 13 open and closed questions. The research field was the Rubén Darío State Education Institute, in Sapucaia do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul and the subjects, 24 students, from the 4th year class, of the night shift, enrolled in the technical course in Administration. After data production and analysis, using the content analysis technique, between 2017 and 2022, nine studies on the Youth Statute were identified in the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, focusing on Social Work. In the Professional Master's Observatory in Professional and Technological Education, no work addressed the terms "Youth Statute" and "Integrated High School". In the survey, the students' prior knowledge revealed a varied understanding of the youth age group and characteristics. It was found that the majority knew the Statute (66.7%), but did not access it, and 25% had never heard of it, evidencing the need to disseminate information and access to the document, mainly in Social Service and Education, to benefit young people across the country. In summary, it was observed, through the research, that the young participants in the study lack knowledge and access to the youth statute. Thus, a video was created with animations, entitled 'Youth Statute: contributions to education and professionalization'. Regarding the evaluation of the educational product, it was positive and the respondents agreed with its clarity and contribution to the production of knowledge about the Youth Statute and integral human formation. It is expected that the educational product will be replicated in other institutional spaces and that studies on the themes will be expanded, deepening concepts and approaches not worked on in this research.

  • The proposal of this work is part of a challenge encountered by this researcher, during his insertion in the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), since, when carrying out the subject Conceptual Bases of EPT, little systematization of the Language was perceived. Brazilian Signs (Libras), in the interpretation of fundamental concepts, worked on in the discipline, for their understanding. This discipline's main objective is to combine education, work and human training, constituting a fundamental pillar for the Professional and Technological Education course. However, based on the interpretation offered to us, we realized that the lack of a systematization of term signs, with a Marxist orientation, made the work of Educational Translators and Interpreters difficult. This fact even revealed the lack of signs created to correspond to certain concepts worked on in the discipline. In view of this difficulty and the lack of similar material, we propose the creation of a glossary of term signs of concepts based on Marxist theory. This content is covered in IFRS high school subjects. The research problem asks how the creation of a glossary of term signs in Libras-Portuguese can help towards a greater systematization of Libras and towards valuing and respecting the deaf community? The general objective of this research seeks to analyze the most recurrent Marxist terms in the teaching and learning process of secondary education integrated with professional education with the purpose of producing a glossary of key concepts in Libras-Portuguese. Regarding methodology, the process of this research is based on the development of a qualitative study that uses action research and participant research to produce and evaluate the glossary, taking into account the experience and involvement of professionals in the area, searching for the main terms , recurring in texts and videos worked on in the discipline, in order to, based on this recurrence, generate our corpus of work. This process was carried out through interviews with the survey of the terms in which doubts arise most, as well as the evaluation of the final product. We aim to debate the relevance of including the terms raised in a glossary proposal, considering the contributions of these different actors. After carrying out the interviews, we began creating and subsequently video recording the translation/interpretation into signs, based on the contributions of the indicated participants. The result of this material was discussed with the deaf community and other members of an educational process, in Marxist theory (teachers, interpreters and ProfEPT students), through a new interview. Our results were directed towards the creation of an educational product, in the form of a glossary, available free of charge on the YouTube platform, which presents users with terms, explanations about concepts and signs for Libras. Based on the creation of this product, we established reflections on the importance of the presence of glossaries for the continued training of Libras Educational Translators and Interpreters, as well as for the social inclusion of deaf students.

  • This research proposal aims to understand the role of extension in the context of the history of Campus Viamão of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). To this end, we carried out a theoretical basis on the categories: History of Vocational and Technological Education, Extension, History of educational institutions, Memory, Identity and Oral History. It is a research that will have a qualitative approach and of an applied nature. As for the procedures, we will use documentary research and oral history. The research will have two methodological steps: first, the identification and analysis of documents and oral and written sources will be carried out, and after, the elaboration of the product will be carried out. To start the research, we will survey all the Extension projects carried out at the Viamão Campus of IFRS since its implementation. Afterwards, we will carry out an analysis to identify those considered most relevant, considering the number of beneficiaries from the internal and external community, the results with the greatest impact on the community covered, impact on student training, agreements and partnerships signed, working hours of servers dedicated to extension activities, social or environmental responsibility and financial resources applied to the projects. Interviews will be carried out with project coordinators, fellows and the community served from the selected projects. The last stage will be the production and evaluation of the educational product. The theoretical basis that will be used in the research - and consequently in the product - is quite diverse, covering, in particular, the History of educational institutions, memory and identity, with: Amado (1995), Candau (2021), Ciavatta (2005, 2007), Le Goff (2013), Magalhães (1999, 2004, 2010), Pollak (1992) and Saviani (2005). The theoretical bases of Vocational and Technological Education, Federal Institutes and Extension will also be used in the work, with: Ciavatta (2005, 2012), Moura (2008), Pacheco (2011), Ramos (2008), Saviani (2007), Serrano (2013), Severino (2016). For oral history we will rely on: Alberti (2013), Ciavatta (2007 and 2009), Ferreira and Amado (2006) and Magalhães (2004).

  • The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), whose mission statement is to offer vocational, scientific and technological, inclusive, public, free and quality education, does not have rules of procedures to face the exceptional situations in everyday life, especially in such adverse moments, such as the pandemic experienced by the transmission of the Sars-CoV-2 virus and remote work. Our objective with this research project will be to analyze the fragilities revealed to gender relations in the permanent staff of the Institution and to indicate possible institutional actions that avoid the overload of activities, considering the specific realities, especially the gender conditions in a society in which this is one of the determining factors of social inequality. The approach of this research linked to ProfEPT will have an exploratory and qualitative nature and with a view to the applicability aimed at the teaching area in Vocational and Technological Education (EPT). It is worth mentioning that the investigation is linked to the research line “Organization and Memories of the formal and non-formal pedagogical space in EPT” and to macroproject 6 - Organization of EPT pedagogical spaces. The educational product derived from this project will result from the analysis of the data produced, but it may come close to the creation of a Good Practice Guide, developed to provide support to the standing committees (CIS and CPPD), with the proposal of guidelines for the execution of the civil servants work activities, considering the gender relations in the different job roles occupied by female and male civil servants of IFRS.

  • This dissertation describes the research conducted in the Professional Master in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). It is inserted in the Research Line of “Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT)” and linked to “Macroproject 3 - Educational Practices in the Integrated Curriculum”. The research starts from the existing scenario and experienced by the master's student and, from this, proposes an educational product that seeks to solve the problem presented. The main objective of the research was to investigate how students of the technical courses integrated to the High School of Campus Bento Gonçalves of IFRS receive and understand the actions of Organizational Communication developed by the Communication Coordination of said Campus, with the proposal to increase the number of students who receive this information and thus start to participate more in the actions developed by the institution. The theoretical references are presented from the history and contextualization of the Bento Gonçalves Campus - locus of research, as well as the reorganization of the Federal Network of EPT, to the concepts that underpin the research, such as public communication, organizational communication, educommunication and social media, in addition to the findings of research on organizational communication and education, which serves to demonstrate the existing research gap and present what there is of academic work in this area. This is a qualitative, exploratory study. Regarding the methodological procedures, documentary and survey research were used. To obtain the data from the first stage of the research, electronic questionnaires were sent to the students of the Integrated Technical Courses to Secondary Education of Campus Bento Gonçalves who accepted and consented to participate in the research. With the data analysis, it is possible to study the documents that regulate communication in IFRS and present the activities that the Communication sector performs, always in the light of the theoretical framework brought. It was also possible to understand that, in general, students feel well informed about the actions of the Campus, but point out that there is still a particular network that is not used to send information in an organized and systematized way, WhatsApp. In fact, it was identified that social networks are the spaces in which students most look when they want to know what is happening on the Campus, even before the institutional website. Based on the data collected from the students, it was possible to plan, develop, apply and evaluate an educational product that would expand the institutional outreach activities on the Campus, in the format of a guide, and directed to the communication sectors of PE institutions. It was evident the importance of mapping with the public that one wants to reach how they consume content, so that communication is more effective and it is possible to expand the dissemination of actions to the public of interest. With the Guide it was possible to build a channel for disseminating news to the students of the institution. In the final stage of the research, the created channel was evaluated by the students who agreed to follow it and the Guide was evaluated by the IFRS communicators, both of whom met the proposal to contribute to the dissemination of institutional actions for students in a PE institution.

  • The present study deals with the socialization of newcomers in a federal educational institution. Inserted in the Research Line of “Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education”, of the Post-Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education, its locus was the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) and sought to analyze the knowledge and procedures necessary for the reception and integration of new employees, with the purpose of proposing a manual that provides theoretical and practical subsidies to improve the conduct of the socialization process by People Management (GP), on the Farroupilha campus. It is theoretically and methodologically based on the Analysis of Movements of Senses, and the production of data was based on the referential literature on the subject and through field research of the case study type with the application of two online questionnaires, available on google forms. The first aimed at 30 employees working in the GP of all IFRS campuses and the second at 607 new entrants (appointments, removals, redistributions and contracts, in the period between January 2018 and June 2021). The data obtained show that although the IFRS has not adopted an official program for the socialization of new entrants, actions are carried out in this sense. Even if they are not applied in a systemic way, when carried out, they proved to be effective. The newcomers report that activities such as welcoming the GP, presentation of the campus and colleagues, meetings with sectors, among others, were carried out, which generated satisfaction and few setbacks. In cases where there was no such involvement, the newcomers had difficulties and showed feelings of abandonment and neglect. Also, the contents that must be explained by the GP when a new member arrives were identified. Through the analysis of the data and the
syntheses performed, an educational product was elaborated, systematizing the knowledge to help the GP servers of the Farroupilha campus in the conduct of that process. The textual material developed consists of a newcomer's manual, which deals with the history of IFRS and the Farroupilha campus and addresses the
essential contents so that the newcomer can start his activities with greater tranquility. The educational product was submitted to the evaluation of the servers that work in the PM sectors of the IFRS campuses, as potential users of the material. The evaluation considered categories such as: attractiveness, understanding, acceptance, involvement, impact and objectives. The product was approved, with expressive results, in all categories. Through this study, it is expected to contribute with the institution to the achievement of institutional objectives. It is believed that improving socialization processes constitutes a posture that can positively affect the
institution's performance in terms of professional and technological education. The educational product may be an auxiliary tool for the GP servers of the Farroupilha campus, and it is still possible to adapt to other campuses. It will also be made available in a public repository with free access to other researchers or institutions interested in the subject.
