BIG AREA: Ciências Sociais Aplicadas
AREA: Administração
SUMMARY:

Innovation is crucial for adding value to organizations, as the creation of something new or significantly improved offers a strong competitive advantage. Therefore, innovation emerges as a strategy to enhance companies' resilience in a rapidly evolving market. Studies show that the ability to innovate within organizations is driven by diversity among people, with human capital being a key resource for fostering innovation. Consequently, in light of the need to manage diverse teams and maximize the benefits of this interaction, Diversity Management becomes prominent. It involves adopting administrative measures focused on individual or group attributes to improve organizational performance. However, given the challenges of its implementation and the benefits of managing differences, this project seeks to contribute guidelines for its application in the corporate environment. Thus, the aim of this study is to facilitate the implementation of diversity management in corporate settings by developing a practical guide with best practices for its adoption. Employing a qualitative and exploratory approach, the study will use a case study method as its investigative strategy. The empirical field will be law firms, an area facing increasing challenges to adopt a more innovative stance in the market. Through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire, targeted question scripts will be directed to employees, leaders, and partners of law firms, as well as to the Brazilian Bar Association, the representative and regulatory entity of lawyers, with the objective of understanding perceptions about diversity management and innovation. It is expected that the results will help to develop a practical guide for law firm leaders, providing guidelines for implementing best practices in diversity management, in addition to creating workshops for managers, with the aim of fostering more diverse and innovative environments.
