This dissertation was developed as part of the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education, linked to the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), within the research line “Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT)”. The aim of the study was to analyze the participation of IFRS - Restinga Campus students in collegiate bodies (councils, committees, commissions, etc.), pointing out alternatives for action to encourage their participation. It is understood that the engagement of students, in addition to collaborating with the process of democratic management and the improvement of the educational process, aims to ensure the implementation of IFRS policies, contributing to the training of students in the context of EFA. This is an applied, descriptive study with an exploratory dimension, developed using a qualitative approach. Documentary analysis, bibliographic research and field research techniques were used. Data was collected by means of questionnaires with open and closed questions, applied to 20% of the students enrolled in the technical courses integrated with high school at the IFRS - Restinga Campus, totaling seventy-seven respondents. In addition, three course coordinators involved in the research took part. The results showed factors that influence the low level of student participation in the institution's collegiate bodies. Based on these findings, an educational product was developed: a guide in digital format, which presents information pertinent to the topic and practical guidelines for participation in the collegiate bodies of the IFRS - Restinga Campus. The guide was positively evaluated by the students, indicating its potential to increase student engagement in these decision-making and collective-building spaces. It is hoped that the material produced will contribute to strengthening the voice and presence of students in collegiate bodies, promoting their civic and participatory participation.
