SUMMARY:

The main objective of this research is to understand the conceptions and practices of teachers of the technical accounting course in relation to the teaching methodologies used in the classroom. To achieve the presented objective, a survey will be conducted with active teachers of the accounting course, through questionnaires that will be applied in a technical school in the city of Porto Alegre. After collecting and analyzing the data, it will be possible to identify how teachers relate to the teaching methodologies and, from this, through an educational product, propose improvements to the teaching and learning process in technical accounting courses, since accounting courses are usually seen as “conservative” in relation to teaching methodologies used in the classroom. Thus, this research presents itself as a real possibility for innovation within technical accounting courses, since there are not many educational products focused exclusively on the accounting area.
