WORKER-STUDENT OF THE TECHNICAL COURSE IN ADMINISTRATION IN THE YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION MODALITY OF THE FEDERAL INSTITUTE OF RIO GRANDE DO SUL - PORTO ALEGRE CAMPUS: RIGHTS AND CHALLENGES IN THE CONCILIATION OF WORK AND EDUCATIONProfessional and Technological Education. Youth and Adult Education. Labor rights. Rights of the working student.
This research project is linked to the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program - Professional Master's in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), the Research Line on Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), and Macroproject 1 - Methodological Proposals and Didactic Resources in Formal and Non-Formal Teaching Spaces in EPT. This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by working students of the Technical Course in Administration, in the Youth and Adult Education modality, at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) - Porto Alegre Campus, in reconciling their work obligations and educational commitments, pointing out alternatives for legal guarantees to be effectively implemented, supporting their academic and professional trajectory. Methodologically, it is based on applied research, with a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) and descriptive, exploratory, and explanatory objectives. Data will be produced through a questionnaire with 13 questions applied to 30 working students of the Technical Course in Administration, in the Youth and Adult Education modality, at IFRS - Porto Alegre Campus. Furthermore, a hermeneutic-based analysis of the legal and normative documents governing the rights of working students will be carried out. The expected results include the identification of the main barriers faced by working students and the evaluation of the effectiveness of current public policies and institutional educational practices. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the formulation of proposals for the improvement of educational and labor policies aimed at facilitating the academic trajectory of students in Youth and Adult Education integrated with Professional and Technological Education. The originality of this study lies in the combination of a legal focus with an empirical analysis of students' experiences, providing a comprehensive and integrated view of the challenges and possible solutions. Furthermore, the value of this study lies in its ability to generate relevant insights for the improvement of EPT, especially in the context of IFRS, and to propose an educational product that can serve as a support model for the working student.
