PRINCIPLES AND CONTRADICTIONS: LABOR RELATIONS IN IFRS AND THE CONCEPTUAL BASES OF PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION
Work. Professional and Technological Education (EPT). Labor Relations. Integral Human Formation.
This research project, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Professional and
Technological Education (ProfEPT), analyzes labor relations at the Federal Institute
of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) and their
connections with the conceptual foundations of Professional and Technological
Education (EPT). Embedded in the Research Line Organizations and Memories of
Pedagogical Spaces in EPT, under Macroproject 6 - Organization of Pedagogical
Spaces in EPT, the study seeks to identify contradictions in labor relations that hinder
the realization of EPT’s fundamental principles, notably integral human formation
(omnilateral formation) and work as an educational principle. Qualitative in nature
and designed as a case study, the research will employ semi-structured interviews,
participant observation, and document analysis as complementary strategies for data
collection. It aims to understand and analyze the institutional dynamics that condition
and (re)shape work organization and pedagogical practices at IFRS. The expected
results are to contribute to understanding and transforming institutional barriers by
proposing strategies, materialized in an educational product, that foster an
organizational environment aligned with the transformative principles and purposes
of EPT.
