SUMMARY:

Wine tourism, a tourist activity recognized as visiting vineyards, wineries, wine festivals, tasting grape wine and/or experiencing the attributes of a wine region, follows a consumer trend and goes far beyond that, combining remarkable experiences involving sensory and cultural aspects in differentiated landscapes. As a result, wine-producing regions are seeking innovation in tourism to attract visitors. One of these regions is Campanha Gaúcha, which returned to the wine scene in the 1970s, when scientific studies demonstrated that the region had favorable environmental characteristics for grapevine production, attracting the attention of producers, and sparked regional economic prospects and, more recently, the beginning of wine tourism practices. However, there is still a gap in the experiences offered and in the use of regional development potential, both in relation to tourism infrastructure and in terms of innovation. In view of this, the development of itineraries combining wine tourism and cycling tourism is one of the possibilities for innovative experiences, with the potential to promote economic diversification in the region, preserve cultural heritage and conserve historical, environmental and cultural heritage. Therefore, the objective of this work is to create a wine tourism experience through a cycling tourism route in the Campanha Gaúcha region. The project methodology is organized in five stages: (1) systematic literature review (focused on the themes of cycling tourism and regional development), (2) data collection (involving the identification of partners and tourist resources/attractions, analysis of demand interest, and the route of the route), (3) development of a route map and signage models, (4) testing of the route and (5) evaluation. With the results obtained, it is expected to contribute to the regional development of the Campanha Gaúcha and generate new wine tourism experiences for those who visit it. In addition to having developed presentation material for the itinerary for the Associação Vinhos da Campanha Gaúcha, containing details of the proposal, in addition to the maps and graphic material produced.
