SUMMARY:

The wine industry faces significant challenges in a competitive market, especially for small wineries seeking to expand their presence and optimize their logistics operations. The research presented in this paper focuses on the integration of the supply chain link between winemakers and distributors, aiming to develop a distribution system that allows efficient inventory management and improvement in delivery logistics. The relevance of this study stands out in the need for an innovative approach that meets the demands of the contemporary market, where logistics efficiency and responsiveness are crucial for the survival and growth of these businesses. The research seeks to answer the following questions: (i) how can a distribution system (based on a website) optimize the Distribution Logistics of small wineries, for wines of great specificity, high quality and high added value, available in smaller batches?; and secondarily (ii) how can this tool help in the expansion of the markets in which these small wineries operate? The general objective of the study is to promote integration between the links in the wine supply chain (winemaker - focal company / distributor) through an artifact (website) to boost sales, generate new customers and provide feedback to the system to improve the industry's response. The methodology adopted is qualitative and descriptive in nature, using the multiple case study strategy. Data collection will be carried out through semi-structured interviews with winemakers and distributors, observations, and documentary analysis of inventory and sales reports. Data analysis will follow the Bardin (2010) model, which involves pre-analysis, exploration of the material and treatment of the results. Next, the assumptions of Design Science Research (Dresch; Lacerda; Antunes Júnior, 2015) will be used to develop the artifact. The expected contributions of this study are to expand the literature on distribution logistics in the wine sector and to use the proposed system as a replicable model for other wineries, promoting innovation and effectiveness in the logistics distribution process. In addition, the results of the research may support management policies and strategies that support the sustainable growth of small wineries, strengthening their position in the market. In short, the integration of distribution channels and the use of electronic tools are essential elements to ensure that these companies can thrive in an increasingly challenging business environment, contributing to the development of the wine sector as a whole.
